There’s something about organising a big event that brings out the very best in us as a team. Maybe it’s getting to connect with brilliant speakers, working with the venues or watching the ticket sales tick up and updating our trusty whiteboard. Whatever it is, we were ready to hit the ground running when Devon Chamber asked us to organise its flagship Digital Devon event.
Held at the Riviera Centre in Torquay, the event was all about empowering business owners to find their way with digital. It featured big hitting national and international speakers, an exhibition packed with Devon’s very best digital organisations and practical workshops.
True to form, the team drew on their experience from organising similar large-scale conferences and events and had it running like clockwork. A few curveballs (such as a workshop being so popular we had to quickly scurry to the main auditorium to run it) didn’t ruffle a feather. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive. Now the OV events team are busy planning for an even bigger event – watch this space.
