Princesshay announces Summer of Fun for City

From the 31st July –  23rd August, Princesshay Square will be transformed into Princesshay Green with a series of free family fun pop up events every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. From climbing walls to mini golf and dinosaurs, a different activity will pop up each week to keep families and shoppers entertained during the upcoming school holidays.

As well as summer menus from Princesshay’s eateries, visitors will be able to take part in the following line up of free events from 11am-3pm on each day:

  • Wednesday 31st July – Friday 2nd August – Golf fans can have a go at Princesshay’s very own mini golf featuring 9 holes of fun. There will also be a roaming pirate act performing 30-minute sets.
  • Wednesday 7th August – Friday 9th August – Climbing enthusiasts can test their skills on a rock-climbing wall located at Princesshay Green. For those who like to keep their feet on the ground, A hula hoop act will also be running 40-minute workshops throughout the day.
  • Wednesday 14th August – Friday 16th August – Shoppers will be able to learn how to juggle, spin plate, pedal go and much more with the help of Flotsam circus skills. A balloon show will also roaming around the centre with a performance at 12:30.
  • Wednesday 21st August – Friday 23rd August – Fresh out of the Jurassic ocean, Horace the Pilosaur is 165 million years old and 135 feet long. Audiences will be invited to help Horace prepare for the day by brushing his teeth and massaging his paddles whilst learning about all things Jurassic.  Dinosaur World Torquay will be also be at Princesshay Green each day with fossil boxes and dinosaur bones.
