Max's week at One Voice Media

26 July 2019

Here at One Voice, we offer work experience placements to those looking to start a career in the PR and marketing world. Max joined us for a week to get an insight into life at One Voice Media....

"From the moment I walked into the office I was instantly immersed by the warmth and positive attitude of the entire team working there. They radiate knowledge and experience that helped me learn the skills and knowledge I would need to fulfil work that was set for me. If there was ever a point that I needed help, they were there ready to support me and help me through the work.

Throughout my week I have enjoyed all the tasks that have been set for me, from social media calendars all the way to updating website pages for different businesses. No two days have been the same, with variation in tasks and jobs every day I got up each morning knowing that I’m going to have a new experience or improve my scope of employability skills. Despite still having to spend a good part of the week at a desk 9-5, the atmosphere of the office is so inclusive that there is never a dull moment and there is always something new to learn from it.

Writing and scheduling Twitter posts was one of the highlights of my week. The ability to put your own personal twist on each post was great to make the posts seem more friendly and personable to the audience reading. I have also researched different businesses to add to an invite list for two events happening in Oxford and Henley upon Thames. This was great to do as I could look at what the business did and what they could get out of the event while collecting their contact details.

I would like to thank One Voice for accepting me into their work place for the week; with the varied work that always kept it interesting and engaging. The team have been so supportive and helpful; I don’t think I could have hoped for a better work experience placement."
