Exeter’s Independent scene is going from strength to strength seeing 15 new independent businesses welcomed to the city since October 2017 including Red Panda, Frocks in Swing Time, Busby & Fox and Hutch.

In order to further support the city’s independent businesses, InExeter, the city’s business improvement district, has launched an Independent gift card in time for Christmas which can be spent in over 70 of Exeter’s more boutique businesses including cafes, restaurants, shops and service providers.

Ann Hunter, InExeter manager said; “We are so proud to launch the InExeter Gift Card, supporting the city’s independent businesses. So far, over 70 businesses have signed up to the scheme with more interest from other retailers coming in all the time, in the lead up to Christmas.  Being able to launch something like this prior to the Christmas rush is great for the city, and will enable family and friends from near or far, to give loved ones the opportunity to choose something unique this Christmas from a local business that they love.”

Retailers included within the list of independent businesses supporting the card are Aromatika on Queen Street, Erin Cox Jewellery in Castle Street, Georgie & Flo on Gandy Street, Hutch in Paris Street, Lloyd’s Kitchen in Princesshay, Sancho’s Shop Dresses on Fore Street, and Eat Your Greens on Sidwell Street.
