Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts, which took place at Westpoint, Exeter last weekend, saw substantial numbers of craft fans flock to enjoy the show, seeing a 7% increase on last year’s numbers.

The show, which has been taking place at the venue since 1990, showcased everything from sewing, knitting and quilting to papercraft, scrapbooking and glass making as well as featuring top industry experts offering their knowledge and advice. Visitors were treated to a display of costumes from some of the most famous television and film adaptations of Jane Austen’s beloved novels, which will continue to tour with Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts throughout the UK in spring 2013.

Richard Maunder, who was recently appointed as Chief Executive for Westpoint said, “This was the first time that I have attended Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts and it was fantastic to see such large numbers of dedicated craft fans attending. The show has been a firm favourite in the Westpoint calendar for over two decades and I am sure this will continue to flourish in future years.”

David Bennett, Managing Director for ICHF Events said, “Creative Stitches & Hobbycrafts in Exeter has always been a successful show for us with a very loyal following. This year we were able to increase the number of exhibitors and the variety of crafts on offer while maintaining the high standard that visitors have come to expect from ICHF Events. We find the venue is perfect for the show and hope that the show will continue to thrive over the forthcoming years.”
