Celebrity chefs from the region and Princesshay’s own restaurant chefs line up to launch the Taste Princesshay event
One Voice organise tasty event in Princesshay
05 August 2011
The team have been busy working up an appetite arranging the free Taste Princesshay event that is coming up on the 12th and 13th August. Princesshay will transform its main square into a foodie heaven, installing a professional cookery theatre and inspiring shoppers with mouth watering demonstrations from celebrity chefs from the region and Princesshay’s own restaurants.
Popular restaurant brands we have rustled up include Wagamama, Carluccio’s and Strada as well as the acclaimed two star Michelin chef Michael Caines MBE, who will be joined by college students from the new Michael Caines Academy. Special appearances will also include Jane Baxter, Head Chef for Riverford Organics, Exeter duo James Knight Pacheco and Alasdair Hooper, who featured on Raymond Blanc’s BBC 2 series ‘The Restaurant,’ Chris Archambault, Head Chef of Southernhay House, Neil Haydock Executive Chef at Watergate Bay and Darrin Hosegrove, Chef Director at Ashburton Cookery School. These talented chefs will all be cooking up a storm over the two days, inspiring foodies and shoppers alike to use the abundance of fantastic local produce available throughout the South West.
Not only that but live local musical entertainment in between cookery demonstrations will play out sounds of the summer for everyone to enjoy. To celebrate the event and long summer evenings, the majority of Princesshay retailers will be extending their opening hours until 7pm on both event days and the Princesshay team will be fundraising for Hospiscare.
I don’t know about you...but we're drooling already. This is definitely an event that cannot be missed!
