Making waves in the media
25 May 2011
We’ve loved working on the spring craft shows for ICHF Events especially as one of the main features was the fabulous giant knitting project ‘Above and Below the Waves’. For the exhibition’s recent voyage to the Liverpool Creative Stitches and Hobbycrafts show, the mastermind behind the project, Allison Murray, knitted a yellow submarine. The 9x6 metre walk-through tunnel created quite a splash in the media with the likes of BBC North West and the Liverpool Echo popping down to dip their toes in the woolly water. The project has been raising money for the RNLI's Train One - Save Many Campaign and will continue its tour of ICHF Events at the Cardiff Creative Stitches and Hobbycrafts show in the autumn.
